College of Engineering Trivandrum MBA Admission 2016

College of Engineering Trivandrum is offering MBA programme since 1985. Applications for admission to the 2016-18 full time batch is invited. The MBA programme of the College is affiliated to APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University (KTU), the university established by Government of Kerala in 2014 bringing all engineering colleges in Kerala under it. The MBA programme follows a trimester system and the duration is two years.

Eligibility: Educational qualification for admission to the programme is a pass in the degree level examination with 50% marks in aggregate from a university. For BA, BSc and B.Com students, a pass in the examination with 50% marks in Part III is the eligible qualification. Students appearing for the final year / semester degree examination in 2016 may also apply. However, offer of admission will be subject to satisfying the eligibility criteria by September 30, 2016.

Applicants for the MBA programme must have a valid score in CMAT/CAT/MAT, the national level common entrance examinations for MBA admission. On the basis of the valid CMAT/ CAT / MAT score, candidates will be called for Group Discussion and interview, which will be held in the week from May 9-14, 2016. They will be offered final admission on the basis of an index score computed using the entrance examination score (80% weight), performance in GD (10% weight) and interview (10% weight). Classes will start on June 15, 2015.

Number of seats: 120.

Fees: The tuition fee for the programme is Rs. 1.5 lakhs payable in six terms (subject to approval from government to revise from Rs. 1.2 lakhs in 2015). Concession to SC/ST students is as per Government rules.

Applications: Application for admission to the 2016 batches will be received till 30 April 2016. Prescribed applications may be downloaded from www.mba.cet.ac.in and sent to The Principal, College of Engineering Trivandrum, Thiruvananthapuram – 695 016, along with a demand draft for Rs. 500 drawn in favour of CET School of Management, College of Engineering Trivandrum, payable at Trivandrum towards application fee. Applications can also be purchased from CET-School of Management, College of Engineering Trivandrum, on payment of Rs. 500. Those who need the application by post may add Rs. 100 towards postal charges. The envelopes enclosing the applications must clearly mention “Admission to MBA programme 2016”.
