MSc (Env.Sc.) & MSc (Geoinformatics) at BVU


Institute of Environment Education and Research, Pune under Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University has invited applications for admission to MSc Environment Science and Technology and MSc Geoinformatics courses of Academic Year 2013-14. Admission to the courses will be done based on MEVST/MGI 2013 the common entrance tests scheduled to be conducted on 1st June 2013.


Eligibility for appearing in CET MEVST / MGI- 2013 and subsequent admission

If candidate opts for MEVST, then the candidate should have passed:
i. The Bachelors examination from any recognised University or its equivalent examination with any of the following subjects - Environmental Sciences, Chemistry, Botany, Zoology, Microbiology, Geology, Geography, Life Sciences, Fisheries Science, BE (Civil Engineering), Environmental Engineering, Agriculture, Physics, Biotechnology and

ii. Secured minimum 50% marks (45% is case of SC / ST candidates) in the above mentioned examinations.

iii. Candidates who have appeared or who are likely to appear for the qualifying examination i.e. BSc or equivalent but whose results have not been as yet declared can also appear for this entrance test provided they have offered the mentioned subjects at the said examination.

iv. The candidate must have appeared for the All India Entrance Test i.e. MEVST 2013 conducted by this University.

If candidate opts for MGI, then the candidate should have passed:
MSc / BSc / BSc (Applied) in Chemistry, Botany, Zoology, Physics, Biotechnology, Microbiology, Life Sciences, Environmental Sciences, Mathematics, Statistics, Geology, Geography, Forestry, Wildlife Science, Computer Science, Information Technology, Agriculture, Oceanography, Marine Sciecnes, Bioinformatics BFSc (Fisheries Science) BArch

v. BA Geography

vi. BE in Mechanical, Civil, IT, Computer, Chemical, Electrical, Electronics and Telecommunications, Environment. vi. Secured minimum 50% marks (45% is case of SC/ST candidates) in the above mentioned examination. vii. Candidates who have appeared or who are likely to appear for the qualifying examination i.e. B.Sc or equivalent but whose results have not been as yet declared can also appear for this entrance test provided they have offered the mentioned subjects at the said examination.

Applications:
Online application procedure:
A candidate desirous of filling online application forms for MSc (Environment Science & Technology) and MSc (Geoinformatics) should visit the website www.bharatividyapeethuniversity.net or www.bvuniversity.edu.in. The last date for submitting the application form is 27th May 2013.

There are two options available for payment of entrance fees
1. Payment through Demand Draft(DD)
2. Payment through Payment Gateway i.e. Credit / Debit Master / Visa cards. Instructions for payment are given on home page. Kindly note that the candidates opting for this payment mode should not send his form to this office. Instead he/she should carry the form at the examination hall along with TWO passport size photographs

Completed application form must be accompanied by CET MEVST/MGI-2013 fee of Rs. 1200/-. It should be submitted either in person (in which case the fee can be paid by cash) or mailed (in which case the fee should be paid by Demand Draft drawn on any nationalized bank payable at Pune), in favour of Registrar, Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University, Pune, to the following: Admission Office, Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University, Bharati Vidyapeeth Bhavan, C.E.T. online Dept, 2nd floor Lal Bahadur Shastri Marg, Pune 411030.

  • 27th May 2013: Last date for submitting completed Application form to Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University, Bharati Vidyapeeth Bhavan, C.E.T Dept, 2nd floor, LBS Marg, Pune 411030
  • 1st June 2013: Date and Time of Common Entrance Test
  • 1st June 2013: Declaration of Result
  • 1st June 2013: Spot Admission
