B.Sc.(Nursing/Physiotherapy) & MHM at NIMS

Nizam’s Institute of Medical Sciences, Hyderabad has invited applications for admission to the following courses of Academic Year 2013-14.


(I) B.Sc (Nursing) (for women only)
(II) Bachelor of Physiotherapy Four and Half Years (including 6 months Internship)
(III) Master in Hospital Management

Eligibility:
(I) B.Sc (Nursing):
A pass in intermediate (10+2) course with Botany, Zoology, Physics, Chemistry and English or vocational nursing with Bridge course of Biological and Physical Sciences or equivalent. Should have secured not less than 45% of marks on the average in the subjects of Botany, Zoology, Physics, Chemistry and English taken together and qualify in EAMCET‐2013 to apply. EAMCET ranking will be considered for admission.

(II) Bachelor of Physiotherapy (including 6 months Internship):
Intermediate examination or its equivalent with optional subjects of Botany, Zoology, Physics and Chemistry
OR
Vocational Physiotherapy with bridge course of biological and physical sciences and one must qualify in EAMCET‐2013. EAMCET ranking will be considered for admission

(III) Master in Hospital Management:
Any graduate in Medical/Non‐ Medical courses

Age:
The minimum age for admission shall be 17 years completed on or before 31st December, 2013 and should not be more than 25 years as on 31st December, 2013 .
Upper age limit is relaxable by 3 years in the case of SC & ST Candidates.

Application Procedure:
1. Application form is available at www.nims.edu.in
2. A candidate must submit hard copy of the application form.
3. The Application Form may be downloaded and filled appropriately. Please note that all the columns in the application form require to be filled in.
4. The filled in application form will have to be printed, signed, attest a latest passport size photograph and sent to Associate Dean, Aptitude Testing, 2nd floor, Old OPD Block, Nizam’s Institute of Medical Sciences, Hyderabad 500 082 on or before 5.00 PM of 16‐07‐2013 along with necessary documents.
5. Enclose required demand draft drawn in favour of the Director, Nizam’s Institute of Medical Sciences or NIMS cash receipt dated between 27‐06‐2013 to 16‐07‐2013 will have to be submitted simultaneously along with the filled‐in application.
6. For Master degree Enclose demand draft for Rs.1,100/‐ and for other courses Rs.700/‐.

Display of merit list of eligible candidates on website: 31‐07‐2013

Commencement of classes: 06‐09‐2013
Closure of admissions: 30‐09‐2013

Bachelor of Physiotherapy:
Last date for submission of application (hardcopy): 16‐07‐2013
Issue of counselling letters through e‐mail: 05‐08‐2013
Display of merit list of eligible candidates on website: 07‐08‐2013
Date of Counselling: 10‐08‐2013
Date of admission, payment of fee and submission of original certificates and bond will be notified later
Commencement of classes: 06‐09‐2013
Closure of admissions: 05‐09‐2013

Master in Hospital Management:
Last date for submission of application (hard copy): 16‐07‐2013
Issue of Hall Tickets for eligible candidates through e‐mail: 12‐08‐2013
Date of entrance examination (Venue as indicated in the Hall Ticket): 16‐08‐2013
Display of provisional results of entrance examination: 4 pm on 16‐08‐2013
Date of Viva for qualified candidates: (candidates should report with complete printed bio‐data): 10 am on 17‐08‐2013
Deadline for manual re‐evaluation of OMR answer sheet: 4 pm on 17‐08‐2013
Display of results, merit list and list of candidates selected provisionally for admission: 22‐08‐2013
Date of admission, payment of fee and submission of original certificates and bond will be notified later
Commencement of classes: 05‐09‐2013
Closure of admissions: 04‐11‐2013
