Admission 2013 at Chennai Mathematical Institute

Chennai Mathematical Institute, Tamilnadu has invited applications for admission to the following courses of Academic Year 2013-14.

• BSc (Hons.) in Mathematics and Computer Science (3 year integrated course)
• BSc (Hons.) in Mathematics and Physics (3 year integrated course)
• MSc in Mathematics
• MSc in Applications of Mathematics
• MSc in Computer Science
• PhD in Mathematics
• PhD in Computer Science
• PhD in Physics

Eligibility for Admission:

• BSc (Hons.) Mathematics and Computer Science: 12th standard or equivalent.
• BSc (Hons.) Mathematics and Physics: 12th standard or equivalent.
• MSc in Mathematics: BSc(Math) / BMath / BStat / BE / BTech
• MSc in Applications of Mathematics: BSc (Math, Physics, Statistics) / BMath / BStat / BE / BTech
• MSc in Computer Science: BE / BTech / BSc (CS) / BCA or BSc (Math) with a strong background in C.S.
• PhD in Mathematics: BE / BTech / BSc (Math) / MSc (Math)
• PhD in Computer Science: BE / BTech / MSc (CS) / MCA
• PhD in Physics: BE / BTech / BSc (Physics) / MSc (Physics)

Selection:

For all the programmes, applicants will have to take an entrance examination on Wednesday, 15 May, 2013. The entrance examination centres for 2013 are as follows: Ahmedabad, Allahabad, Bangalore, Bhubaneswar, Calicut, Chennai, Coimbatore, Delhi, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Imphal, Kolkata, Madurai, Mumbai, Patna, Pune, Ranchi, Shillong, Srinagar and Trivandrum.

In addition, selection for all PhD programmes, as well as the MSc programmes in Mathematics and Applications of Mathematics, will involve an interview at Chennai.

Alternatively, Candidates can obtain application forms and information brochures by post. Send a DD for Rs. 500/- in favour of Chennai Mathematical Institute payable at Chennai to Chennai Mathematical Institute, H1, SIPCOT IT Park, Kelambakkam, Siruseri 603103.

Candidates applying to more than one programme, need to send only a single DD for Rs. 500/-, whether apply online or request a form by post.
