Symbiosis
National Aptitude (SNAP) Test, the mandatory test for admission to the MBA
programs offered by constituent units of Symbiosis International University,
Pune will be held from 2 pm to 4 pm on 15th December, 2013 at 30 cities all
over India.

Academic Eligibility : Generally,
Graduates in any discipline from statutory university with minimum of 50 pc
marks (45 pc for SC/ST candidates) are eligible for admission to all the Master
of Business Administration Programme, except for the programmes, which require
graduation with specific subject specializations. These specializations are
mentioned on the web site of the respective institutes.
Examination Centers: The Examination
will be held at Agra, Ahmedabad, Allahabad, Bengaluru, Bhopal, Bhubaneshwar,
Chandigarh, Chennai, Delhi, Faridabad, Gurgaon, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Indore,
Jaipur, Jamshedpur, Kanpur, Kochi, Kolkata, Kolhapur, Lucknow, Mumbai, Nagpur,
Nashik, Noida, Patna, Pune, Surat, Vashi and Visakhapatanam.
Test Structure: The SNAP Test is an
objective test and will have questions from 4 sections, namely (i) General
English : Reading Comprehension, Verbal Reasoning, Verbal Ability (40 marks)
(ii) Quantitative, Data Interpretation & Data Sufficiency (40 marks) (iii)
General Awareness : General Knowledge, Current Affairs, Business Scenario (40
marks) and (iv) Analytical & Logical Reasoning (60 marks) (Total 180
marks). Each question has 4 responses. Candidate should choose an appropriate
response. Each wrong answer attracts 25 pc negative marks.
Registration for SNAP Test can be done
online at www.snaptest.org up to November 22, 2013. Any Change in the
online application form can be made only up to the closing date of Registration
(Friday, November 22nd, 2013). No change is permitted after this under any
circumstances.
To
register, applicant may click on ‘Register’ and proceed to the Terms and
Conditions page. After reading the instructions for the online application
carefully, applicant should click on the ‘I Agree’ button, to accept the terms
and conditions and then, fill in the details requested on the page
displayed. Applicant has to click on
‘Save and Continue’, to choose a password and the hint questions that will be
asked if one forgets the password. Applicant should now click on ‘Save and
Continue’ to register. The screen will then display the SNAP 2013 ID of the
applicant.
After
successful registration, applicant will receive an email along with the SNAP ID
and SNAP password. This SNAP ID has to be used for all future correspondence
with the Symbiosis Test Secretariat Office. They may be used to enter the
online application form and to make any modification to the details provided.
Applicants will have to upload his/her latest scanned photograph to establish
identity, during the online submission of application.
Applicant
should click on the 'Click here to Continue' link that appears along with the
SNAP 2013 ID and proceed to make the payment. The screen will then display
various Payment modes from which applicant choose any one to make the payment.
Fee: The SNAP Test fee is Rs.2,000/-
which can be paid up to November 26, 2013. The fee can be paid through
different modes.
There
are 4 payment modes. In Online Payment through Credit Card, the amount may be
paid directly through either Master or Visa card online. In the Net Banking
mode, fee can be paid from the list of banks to Symbiosis Test Secretariat
account. One may pay directly through Indian Bank payment Gateway.
Applicant
may select the option of Payment through AXIS Bank or Indian Bank and take the
print out of the Axis Bank / Indian bank Challan. This Challan is in 3 parts.
Pay Rs.2000/- in cash at Axis Bank Branch / Indian Bank branch in your city.
The bank will return two parts of the stamped Challan to you. One of them is
the receipt for you. Sign the stamped Symbiosis copy of the Pay-in-slip and
send it to the Collection Centre at, Symbiosis International University,
Symbiosis Test Secretariat, Gram: Lavale, Tal: Mulshi, District:Pune-412115.
In
Demand Draft Mode, applicant may get a demand draft for Rs.2000/- from any
Nationalised Bank in favour of ‘Symbiosis Test Secretariat’, payable at Pune.
Choose the mode of Payment as DD in ‘Make Payment’ Tab and click ‘Submit’.
Applicant may take a print of the payment advice form, sign and send it along
with the DD to the 'Symbiosis Test Secretariat' only at, Symbiosis International
University, Symbiosis Test Secretariat, Gram : Lavale, Tal : Mulshi, District :
Pune-412115. The photocopy of the Demand Draft should be retained for future
reference.
The
Symbiosis Test Secretariat will authenticate the payment details and will send
an email confirming the payment for SNAP 2013. Only after the payment is
authenticated, candidate will be able to view his/her Admit Card and also print
it, between 2nd December, 2013 and 15th December, 2013, from the SNAP website, www.snaptest.org
On the day of Examination: Candidate is
required to report at the Test Centre latest by 1 p.m. The test procedure will
begin at 1.30 p.m. Candidates who report after 2 p.m will not be allowed to
take the test.
While
reporting for the Test, candidates should bring (i) Admit Card with the latest
coloured passport size photograph pasted on the Admit Card at the place
provided for and duly attested by Gazetted Officer (Test Centre and its address
will be printed on the Admit Card) (ii) Photo identity card which may be one
among Passport, Driving license, College / Institute identity card, Credit card
with photograph, Voter ID Card, Pan Card, AADHAR Card (UID) (iii) Blue/Black
ballpoint pen. SNAP Test result will be declared on 9th January 2014, at
www.snaptest.org and will be available up to 10th February, 2014.
SNAP
Score will be valid only for admission to all MBA Programs of Symbiosis
International University for the academic year of 2014-15.
Short listing for Personal Interaction and
Writing Ability Test (PI-WAT): Candidates will be shortlisted for the
(PI-WAT) process based on their score in the SNAP Test & Academic Profile
Score with SNAP Score scaled down to 40 and Academic Profile (AP) Score scaled
down to 10 (Details are given in the Prospectus and website). The score
computed as a sum of the two, will be the total score and percentile equivalent
will be drawn on this score which will be communicated to the candidates as
his/her percentile.
The
above score will be converted to percentile and the respective institutes will
communicate the cut-off score to the University. University will announce
shortlisted candidates for respective program (s) of the institutes on 16th
January 2014. Each candidate will be sent an email indicating the institutes
he/she has been shortlisted for the Personal Interaction and Writing Ability
Test (PI-WAT). This information will be also available online.
Writing
Ability Test (WAT) is a part of the selection process at Symbiosis
International University (SIU) for getting admission to the MBA program. Total
15 marks have been allotted for WAT. It consists of two parts, Part-A and
Part-B.Part A: Writing Skills: 10 marks; Part B: Creativity and Critical
Thinking: 10 marks; Part A + Part B = 10+10 = 20 marks to be scaled down to 15
marks.While writing skills, creativity and critical thinking are integral
requirements for SIU MBA candidates, due credit will be given to the quality of
content while evaluating candidate submissions.
Every
candidate will also go through the process of Personal Interaction conducted by
a panel of experts as finalized by the Admission Committee and this will carry
35 marks.
PI-WAT
will be conducted on 7th, 8th, 9th, 14th, 15th& 16th February, 2014 at Pune
(Lavale, Hinjewadi & Kirkee), Bengaluru and NOIDA. Candidate will be able
to see his/her shortlisting status in each of the program that he/she has
applied for. Candidates will be allowed to choose their slots on line. It will
be on first come - first book basis.A candidate will be required to attend only
one (PI-WAT) process irrespective of number of programs he/she has applied to.
The marks obtained will then be counted for each of the programs for the final
merit list for admission.
MBA Program Registration 2014-15: Only
those candidates who have registered and paid for 'SNAP 2013' will be eligible
for MBA Program Registration 2014. This is a single window for registration.
Candidate can register for the MBA programs offered by any constituent
institute of SIU. Candidate has the facility of registering for multiple
programs with savings on overall cost of registration. The list of programs
offered by constituent institutes of SIU is as follows:
A
candidate is required to choose the programs that he/she wishes to apply to. To
do so, visit www.snaptest.org and select programs for which you would wish
to be considered for admission. There is no limit to the number of programs
that a candidate may apply to.
Program Registration Fees and Modes of
Payment
The
fees for registration of programs are as follows: For registering for one
Programme, the Program Registration Fees is Rs.1,500/-. For registering for
more than One and up to Five Programmes the registration fee is Rs.3,000/-. For
registering fort more than Five Programmes, one has to pay an additional
Rs.500/- per program. Candidates are required to remit MBA Program Registration
Fees in any one of the following ways.
(i) Online Payment through Credit Card: The
candidate may pay directly through Master or Visa card online by following the
instructions on www.snaptest.org after the Program Registration.
(ii)
Online Payment Through Net Banking:
The candidate may transfer SNAP test fee to Symbiosis Test Secretariat account
using Net Banking option after the registration
(iii)
Payment Through Cash: After Program
Registration, print 'Axis Bank or Indian Bank Challan' from www.snaptest.org.
The challan is in 3 parts. Pay Rs.1,500/- (For 1 Program), Rs.3,000/- (More
than 1 and Upto 5 Programs) and Additional Rs.500/- Per Programfor more than 5
Programs in cash at any Axis Bank or Indian Bank branch in your city. Refer to
the list of branches on the website. The bank will return two stamped parts of
the 'Axis Bank or Indian Bank Challan' to the candidate.Candidates need to keep
the CandidateCopy as payment receipt. Sign the stamped 'Symbiosis Copy' of the
'Axis Bank or Indian Bank Challan' and send it to the "Symbiosis Test
Secretariat, Symbiosis Test Secretariat, Symbiosis International University,Gram:

Payment Through Demand Draft: Obtain
a Demand Draft (DD) of Pay Rs. 1,500/- (For 1 Program), Rs.3,000/- (More than 1
and Upto 5 Programs) and Additional Rs. 500/- Per Program for more than 5
Programs from any Nationalized Bank in favor of ‘Symbiosis Test Secretariat’
payable at Pune. Fill DD details in the DD payment option in SNAP website and
take a print out of 'Payment Advice' form for DD and send it along with the DD
to the ‘Symbiosis Test Secretariat’ only at the Address given above. The
photocopy of the Demand Draft is kept for future reference.Demand Draft (DD)
should be dated 14th December 2013 or earlier and should reach STS on or before
24th December 2013.
