The
Sri Ram College of Commerce, under the University of Delhi, has invited
applications for an admission test to be held on January 27 across the country
for admission to its post graduate programme in Global Business Operations, a
specialized course in International business management.
The course post-graduate programme in
Global Business Operations (GBO) started in 1999. It is an intensive course in
international business management that focuses on the understanding of business
realities in a global context. The programme specially deals with issues of
management in the areas of Human Recourses, Faineance, Accounting, Trade,
Marketing and Information technology in contest of international business. The
course is meant to enhance the potentialities of management professionals to
work both within and across national boundaries, cultures and organizational
structures.
The College with an
eight-decades-rich inheritance of business and economics studies provides its
expertise, infrastructure and resources to create the right ambience for the
Global Business Operations programme. While SRCC boasts of an excellent
faculty, an eminent panel of visiting faculty supplements the special
requirements of the course. Theory sessions in the classroom are appropriately
complemented by actual industry exposure. Interaction with industry is an
important part of this programme and the College organizes a National
Colloquium every year at Vigyan Bhawan where some of the top people from
industry, academia, government and other spheres discuss issued related to
business, finance and economics.
The
University of Delhi will award a post graduate diploma to students who pass the
course. The institute also provides placement assistance.
The admission test will be held in
centers such as Thiruvanathapuram, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Chennai, Mumbai, Delhi
and Kolkata. Those who clear the test will be called for a group discussion and
an interview.
Minimum Eligibility for Admission
Bachelor’s Degree with 50% marks from
a recognized University. Final year students may also apply. 5% relaxation in
marks is available to candidates belonging to SC/ST/PwD category.
Selection Process
A three-layered selection procedure,
i.e the Entrance Test, the Group Discussion and the Personal Interview is
followed for admission to the programmes. This is done with a view to identify
and process the interpersonal skills in addition to the overall knowledge of
the students.
Candidate has to qualify a written
admission test of two hours duration consisting of four parts – English
Language Proficiency, Quantitative Ability, Logical Ability and General
Knowledge. Each part shall consist of 40 questions carrying 4 marks each. There
is a negative marking of 1 mark for wrong answer.
Limited number of candidates will be
called for Group Discussion and Personal Interview (GDPI) on the basis of merit
order of written test.
The weightage for Written Test and
GDPI will be 75 % and 25 % respectively.
A final selection will be made in
order of merit under respective category on the basis of total marks obtained
by candidates in Written Test and GDPI.

The
admission test fee of Rs.1,000 ( Rs.600 for students belonging to the reserved
categories) may be paid in the form of a bank draft drawn in favor of principal,
Sri ram College of Commerce, payable at New Delhi. The name and address of the
candidate should be written on the back of the draft. Application can submit
online too. The last date for submission of the application is December 31.
