Aliah
University, Kolkata has invited applications for admission to the following
programmes for the academic session 2012-13 through Aliah University Admission
Test (AUAT)–2013.
Group A
- A1. 4-year BTech in Civil Engineering (CEN),
- A2. 4-year BTech in Computer Science & Engineering (CSE),
- A3. 4-year BTech in Electronics & Communication Engineering (ECE),
- A4. 4-year BTech in Electrical Engineering (EEN),
- A5. 4-year BTech in Mechanical Engineering (MEN),
- A6. 5-year integrated Master of Computer Applications (MCA),
- A7. 5-year integrated MSc in Chemistry (with specialization in Medicinal Chemistry and Organic Chemistry),
- A8. 5-year integrated MSc in Computer Science,
- A9. 5-year integrated MSc in Mathematics & Computing,
- A10. 5-year integrated MSc in Physics (with specialization in Engineering Physics),
- A11. 5-year integrated MSc in Statistics & Informatics.
Group B
- B1. 5-year integrated MA in English,
- B2. 5-year integrated Master of Business Administration (MBA),
- B3. 5-year integrated MSc in Geography,
Group C
- C1. 2-year MA in English,
- C2. 2-year MA in Bengali,
- C3. 2-year MA in History,
- C4. 2-year MA in Arabic
- C5. 2-year MSc in Mathematics,
- C6. 2-year MA / MSc in Geography,
- C7. 2-year MA / MSc in Journalism and Mass Communication (MJMC).
Eligibility
For
Group-A, candidates who have passed, or will appear in 2013 in the final
examination of the 10+2 pattern with Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry with
at least 100 Marks in each may apply, but shall not be eligible for admission
unless they secure an aggregate of 45% marks or equivalent grade with
Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry as elective subjects.
For
Group-B (except MBA), candidates who have passed, or will appear in 2013 in the
final examination of the 10+2 pattern may apply, but shall not be eligible for
admission unless they secure 45% marks or equivalent grade in English and
Geography and an aggregate of 45% marks or equivalent grade in 10+2 pattern
Candidates
applying for MBA of Group B must secure at least 45% marks in English and also
in aggregate or equivalent grade of 10+2 pattern in any discipline.
For
Group-C (except MJMC), candidates who have passed the final examination of the
three-year Degree programme with 45% marks in the concerned Honours / Major
subject from any UGC recognized University may apply.
Candidates
applying for 2-year MJMC for Group C should have passed / expected to pass the
final examination of the three-year Degree programme with 45% marks in any
Honours / Major subject from any UGC recognized University. (Preference will be
given to the candidates who graduated with Honours / Major in Journalism &
Mass Communication securing at least 45% in the subject.)
For
any other subject of Group C, candidates who are in the final year of
three-year Degree programme and have passed Part I and Part II examinations by
2012 with at least 45% marks (or equivalent grade up to the 5th semester) in
respective Honours / Major subjects from any UGC recognized University are also
eligible to appear for AUAT 2013. However, their admission will be cancelled if
they fail to secure an aggregate of 45% marks in the final result of the
qualifying examination. They have to produce the final results at the time of
admission.
Age limit: Maximum age limit is 22
years as on 01.01.2013 for Group A and Group B and 25 years as on 01.01.2013
for Group C Courses.

Application
Kits (including Information Brochure) will be available from the Aliah
university office at DN-41, Sector-V, Salt Lake City, Kolkata-700 091, from
10.01.2013 to 28.02.2013 during 11.00 a.m. to 04.00 p.m. on all working days
and from the following branches of State Bank of India (SBI) from 10.01.2013 to
21.02.2013 on payment of Rs.400/- in cash.
