PGDM-ABPM for Children of Plantation Employees

Indian Institute of Plantation Management (IIPM), Bangalore has invited applications for Special Admission for the Children of Plantation Employees in South India under “Malankara Plantations Centenary Scholarship” Two Year Post Graduate Diploma in Management: Agri-Business and Plantation Management (PGDM-ABPM) of 2013 – 2015.

Eligibility:

50% marks (45% for SC / ST) or equivalent CGPA in graduation. For Malankara Plantations Centenary Scholarship, candidates must be children of plantation employees (staff / supervisor, special category worker and / or ordinary worker) in a Tea, Rubber, Coffee and Cardamom Plantations in South India.

Admission & Selection:

All graduates, including graduates of agriculture and allied disciplines, with valid CAT / MAT / CMAT / ATMA (as per their schedule). Shortlisted candidates will be called for the group discussion and personal interview to be held at IIPM Bangalore campus. After a candidate being shortlisted for admission, he/she should produce a certificate duly certified by the competent authority that he/she is son/daughter of plantation employee. Candidates will be selected for scholarship on merit basis.

Sponsored Category Scholarship:

Full Tuition and academic fee of Rs. 4.00 Lakhs (Rupees four lakhs only) for 2 years program will be sponsored by M/s. Malankara Plantations Limited, Kottayam and other expenses related to student’s boarding and lodging for the children of workforce at the campus would be borne by IIPM. The candidates selected for the program must work at least one year in any plantation in South India.

For Prospectus and Application form, write to the ‘The Admissions Office’ along with a crossed Demand Draft for Rs.900/- (Rs.450/- for SC / ST / PWD candidates, with relevant certificates) drawn in favour of "Indian Institute of Plantation Management", payable at Bangalore.
