National
Institute of Food Technology Entrepreneurship and Management (NIFTEM), Haryana
has invited applications for admission to UG,PG and PhD Programmes as mentioned
below for the Academic Year 2013-14.
Under Graduate Programme:
Four
years regular BTech degree in Food Technology and Management:
Eligibility:
Candidates
who have passed their Class 12th Exam or any other qualifying examination in
2011 or 2012; or those who are appearing in their Class 12th Exam in 2013 are
eligible. Subject combinations required in the qualifying examination shall be
as under: Physics, Mathematics and one of the subjects from Chemistry,
Bio-technology, Computer Science, Biology with 50% marks in aggregate of all
subjects. Besides a candidate must be appearing in JEE (Main) – 2013.
Age: Only those candidates whose date
of birth falls on or after October 01, 1988 are eligible. However, in the case
of Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST) and Physically Challenged (PC)
candidates, upper age limit is relaxed by 5 years.
Post Graduate Programmes:
Two
years regular MTech degree in

Food Supply Chain Management
2.
Food Safety and Quality Management
3.
Food Process Engineering Management
4.
Food Plant Operations Management
5.
Food Technology and Management.
Eligibility:
Four
Years Bachelor’s Degree or a Master’s degree in relevant discipline with
minimum 60% marks in aggregate. For additional programme wise requirements,

1. Food Supply Chain Management:
Four
years Bachelor’s degree or a Master’s degree in any branch of Life Sciences,
Agriculture, Environmental or Food Sciences'
2. Food Safety and Quality Management:
Four
years Bachelor’s degree in Food Science / Food Technology and Management / Food
Technology / Biotechnology / Dairy Technology / Dairy and Food Technology /
Agricultural & Food Engineering / Bio Chemical Engineering / Chemical
Engineering OR MSc degree in Food Technology / Food Science and Technology /
Microbiology / Biotechnology / Biochemistry from a recognized University /
Institute. Applicants with MSc Degree may be asked to register for deficiency
course(s) as per the curriculum.
3. Food Process Engineering Management:
Applicant
must have a four years BE or BTech degree in Food Science / Food Technology and
Management / Food Technology / Food Process Engineering / Food Engineering /
Dairy Engineering / Dairy Technology / Agricultural Process Engineering /
Agricultural & Food Engineering / Agricultural Engineering / Bio Chemical
Engineering / Chemical Engineering / Mechanical Engineering or in related
allied fields from a recognized University / Institute.
4. Food Plant Operations Management:
BE /
BTech in any discipline of Engineering from a recognized University /
Institute.
5. Food Technology and Management:
BE /
BTech in Food Science / Food Technology and Management / Food Technology / Food
Process Engineering / Food Engineering / Dairy Engineering / Dairy Technology /
Agricultural Engineering / Agricultural & Food Engineering/ Dairy and Food
Engineering / Bio Chemical Engineering / Chemical Engineering OR MSc degree in
Food Technology / Food Science and Technology / Food Science from a recognized
University / Institute. Applicants with MSc Degree may be asked to register for
deficiency course(s) as per the curriculum.
PhD Programmes:
In

Eligibility:
Master
degree in a relevant discipline with at least 60% marks. Preference will be
