JIPMER PG Entrance on Feb 10


Jawaharlal Institute of Post Graduate Medical Education & Research (JIPMER), Puducherry, an autonomous institution under the central government which does not come under the purview of MCI conducts its own medical pg entrance this year also on February 10,2013.
NEET PG is not applicable to JIPMER, AIIMS and PGIMER.  Online applications have been invited by JIPMER for admission to M.D / M.S Courses (3 Years) of April 2013 Session. The last date for submitting online applications is 10th January 2013.

JIPMER traces its origin to 1823 when a medical school called "Ecole de Medicine de Pondichery" was established by French government. In November 1956 the Government of India took over the medical college in the wake of the ‘de facto’ transfer of Pondicherry. The college was upgraded as a Regional Centre and named as Jawaharlal Institute of Post-graduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER) on 13th July 1964.

JIPMER which includes a tertiary care referral hospital is an Institution of National Importance (an autonomous body) under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India.

M.D. courses: 1. Anatomy (4 seats), 2. Physiology (4), 3. Biochemistry (4), 4. Pharmacology (5), 5. Pathology (6), 6. Microbiology (4), 7. Transfusion Medicine and Immuno Hematology (1), 8. Community Medicine (5), 9. Anaesthesiology (10), 10. Dermatology, Venereology & Leprosy (5), 11 Forensic Medicine ( 2), 12. General Medicine (13), 13. Pediatrics (10), 14. Psychiatry (2), 15. Pulmonary Medicine (2), 16. Radiodiagnosis (13), 17. Radiotherapy (4).

M.S. courses: 1. General Surgery (13), 2. Obstetrics & Gynaecology (13), 3. Ophthalmology (5), 4. Orthopedic Surgery (5), 5. Oto-Rhino Laryngology (E.N.T.) (4).

ELIGIBILITY
(a) Nationality: Applicant must be a Resident Indian National.
(b) Educational : The candidates must possess MBBS Degree recognized by the Medical Council of India.
(c) Experience : Must have either completed or due to complete One Year Internship (Rotatory Housemanship) training by 31st March 2013.

Application and Examination Fee:
For Unreserved (UR) / Institute (INST) / Other Backward Classes (OBC) : Rs.1000/-
For Scheduled Caste (SC) / Scheduled Tribe (ST) : Rs.800/-

Applications can be submitted ONLINE at http://www.jipmer.edu

Applicants may opt to remit the prescribed Application and Examination fee through one of the following methods.
(a) Through the Payment gateway available On-line (Credit/Debit cards/ Net Banking). The Transaction fee has to be borne separately by the applicant only. (or)
(b) Bank Draft M.I.C.R. Demand Draft for Rs.1,000/- (For SC/ST: Rs.800/- only) issued by any Nationalized Bank, drawn in favour of “Accounts Officer, JIPMER” payable at Pondicherry.

On line Applicants are required to note the Application Number which will be enabled after successful submission of data. This number must be written on the reverse of bank draft/payment proof and/or any certificates (OBC/OPH/SC/ST) submitted with the Application Form. The completed Application with the enclosures are to be posted to Professor (Academic), JIPMER, Puducherry – 605 006 on or before 10th January 2013, 5.00 pm.
